Design and construction of tidal ditches totalling over 5km in length. Utilising Waitings'  experience in both dredging and drainage the profile of these ditches were large in scale to accommodate the flows and to maintain grade over the vast lengths. The material from the ditches was relocated to different areas on the estate and landscaped into low lying areas. This strategy both made use of the material and helped in natural drainage by reducing localised depressions within the land. The ditches then received the outfalls for the primary under-drainage.
